The Importance of Proper AED Implementation

We Make Sure You're Well Trained

All health and safety instructors at Northern KY Emergency Medical Services are health care professionals with extensive backgrounds in emergency services. Therefore, our AED implementation courses are taught by persons who have previously utilized the skills being taught. In addition, we employ experienced consultants and instructors to assist with OSHA compliance and training. NKEMS offers regularly scheduled training programs, as well as specially designed on-site training for your convenience.

Automated External Defibrillators
This important device is used in emergency cardiovascular care. The AED is safe, accurate, and easy to operate, and it can be used effectively by people with minimal training. Proper AED implementation allows responders to apply early defibrillation (electrical shock) to victims within the first critical moments after a sudden cardiac arrest. This use of the AED will not replace the care given by EMS personnel, but can act as a lifesaving possibility during the first few critical minutes before EMS arrival.
